Dangermouse is one half of Dangerdoom. The other being DOOM (who is not on twitter). Dangermouse is also one half of Broken Bells. I suppose I could have pulled out the album that he produced for The Black Keys, or the time he mashed up Jay-Z and The Beatles, but I digress.
Very excited for new music this week from some people that we haven't heard from in a while: Rainer Maria (it's been too long, kids), Broken Social Scene, and David Bazan's new band Lo Tom. We have an Alvvays song that name-checks Jim Reid, so I am legally required to play The Jesus and Mary Chain.
Sad news that Charles Bradley has had to cancel tour dates due to a cancer diagnosis. Soul set featuring him, Lee Fields, and Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings. Southern hemisphere jams from Fazerdaze out of New Zealand, Terry and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever out of Australia.
