Tonight we dive headlong into the preeminent cosmic musical friendship of the 1980s; that between Jon Anderson and Evangelos Papathanassiou, better known to the world and the cosmos as Vangelis.
It's no secret that the music of Vangelis is a cornerstone of HORIZONS--we've opened each program from our very start with Abraham's Theme from the celebrated original motion picture soundtrack to Chariots of Fire. Tonight though, we track the cameras in closer and focus on the records he and the late-of-Yes Jon Anderson produced during their rich partnership.
Joining us is resident Jon and Vangelis empath, the mononymous Diane who will grace us with her impressions and insight of this transcendent union.
