Today we discuss the life of Carlos Gutierrez, who died suddenly in his home last month. Gutierrez grew up during a rough time for the neighborhood — the Mission's streets we filled with gang activity — but through incredible self-determination, Gutierrez pulled away from that life and help to found an organization that helps troubled young find their own paths.
