Exquisite Tree

Today's show features a sprawling afternoon in Dolores Park with visiting audio artist, musician, collaborator, friend Martin Zaltz Austwick. We talk tree fact and fantasy, Martin performs 2 different songs he's written about trees, and we perform an "exquisite corpse"-style tree poem we wrote together last week. Listen to his podcasts Neutrinowatch and Song By Song. Listen to the music he makes as Pale Bird (including the mini album we made together). Follow him on Twitter.

The show also features a beautiful audio story by Brooklyn-based producer Ray Pang called A Tree Is Not A Forest.

Sara Brooke Curtis describes a tree with googly eyes on her drive home. And an anonymous voice memo-ist tells us about her new-found obsession with discovering and cataloging the trees of San Francisco. You can follow this adventure on Instagram @trees.of.sf
