Gypsies and listening to your calling — with Altay & Side Street Ricky

Several weeks ago, I met Altay Guvench through friends, and we had a great conversation about the future of creative work and our ideas about how to live our lives. He also mentioned he was a musician, so I convinced him to join me on this radio show.

We scheduled a date and in the meantime, life happened. As Altay bravely describes as we open this show, he spent some time in the hospital and was faced with his own mortality. Part of his recovery led him down a path where he felt compelled to help the homeless people of San Francisco.

One of the people he met and befriended is a talented and funny musician who goes by Side Street Ricky. Altay and Ricky joined me in the studio to share stories and play original live music.

Listen in for some hilarious, introspective, philosophical moments and fun tunes.
