Okay so Jean and Ripley of Future Twin are rad. Incredible spirit pups, in female human form. And I had the honor of hanging out with them this evening, hearing their songs and thoughts, not to mention a spontaneously invented aleatoric song.
I learned a new word from Jean, "aleatoric" -- music (also aleatory music or chance music; from the Latin word alea, meaning "dice") is music in which some of the composition is left to chance.
Aleatoric also describes Jean's presence -- intentional, but with the freedom, whimsy and beauty of chance.
