Tonight’s guest is someone who’s making moves on his own terms. Ragin Blu, or Ray, joins Echolocation for a special hour full of art, music, and everything in between.
He’s the host of his own radio show, LoverBoy Radio Presents, where he explores music and emotion in his own his style. Ragin Blu is also gearing up to release his brand new EP, “Thghtz Uhv Yhu”, a project that’s been quietly building and soon ready to speak for itself.
Born and raised in Vallejo, CA and a Bay Area Native, Ragin Blu brings in community and local art into everything he touches. He’s shaped by an eclectic mix of inspirations, from Frank Ocean, Pharrell, and Tyler, The Creator. When it comes to producers he draws influence from the timeless rhythms of J Dilla and Nujabes.
Ragin Blu wants to emphasize his gratitude towards being a DIY art kind of guy. From constantly learning, exploring and creating, he is a true student of all art.
Fun facts: he’s got a love for Jarritos Tamarindo and Al Pastor burritos. So if you’re loving what he’s cooking tonight feel free to take him to dinner!
