Rab Lewin aka FOTORABIA joins the show for an excellent conversation covering countless cities and punk triumphs. We jump into the 70s and immediately find Rab hopping alongside the Dead Kennedys for a speedy run through Australia. This was one of many full circle moments where Rab connects with Jello decades later on at a spoken word tour with a "remember me!?". So many stories of road-trippin' Rab get shared from getting denied to work amongst the tie-died dead heads, a hellish 9 months during Boston's late 80s gentrification, $125 Virgin Airlines flights back to the f*ckin country with bigger balls before finding love and living in an anarchist utopia in Grenada Spain.
Our grunge heads will rejoice when we enter the early 90s era of smokin' dope and listening to Soundgarden riffs, as Rab describes how he jumped the queue and got up close and personal with bands like Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Screaming Trees and more... to bar hopping with the platinum Krist Novoselic.
Many thanks to Rab!! Links below of his late friends' projects, and can't wait to have Rab back on the show in the future.
