We are thrilled and delighted to have Alicia Vanden Heuvel as our guest on this episode. She is a prolific musician, runs her own recording studio and label, and is helping put on the SFBayPopFest .. where she will also play in 3 of the bands on the bill!
We talk about her studio/label - Speakeasy studios SF, about her current project - Remedy an' Wren, about some of her many bands and about putting together SFBayPopFest at Bottom of the Hill. She will be playing with Tony Molina on the first night 8/20, the second night 8/21 with Aislers Set and the 4th night 8/23 with Remedy & Wren.
We play some of the Speakeasy Studios SF bands like Anna Hillburg, Tony Molina, Galore, Wifey, Jacob Aranda, and Josiah Flores. Josiah Flores is playing tonight at 6pm on 24th street in La Mission at Accion Latina SF with Malagrena for the Encuentros Series.
We talk about some of her involvement in many bands past and present including Aislers Set, Magic Trick, Still Flying', Brigid Dawson and the Mothers Network, and her latest project Remedy & Wren with Tony Molina, Becky Baron and Dan Lee.
Alicia is a treasured person contributing her musical talents, recording skills and general radness to the SF Bay Area cultural landscape, and we are grateful to her for being our guest today on TBD - The Best Day! Thank you Alicia!
