MOTOR CITY

Hey,

Did you know that MOTOWN is short for MOTOR CITY (or TOWN, rather)? Locals affectionately referred to Detroit as thus, because it was, well, the auto manufacturing mecca of the world at the time. So many tid bits. Don't move there if you don't drive... coming from a SF native who depends of bicycle and train as transport – when you're in Motor City, do as the nickname says.
