  • 12 new DJs celebrating their first time on the mic

We’re not slowing down in 2026. Like you, we have big plans for the new year, and they start with resolutions that will help us show up louder and stronger for the Bay Area music scene. Are you ready to join us?

1. Go to shows!

Seeing artists IRL is a true triple threat: you support bands, support venues, and create community just by showing up. And BFF.fm makes it easy to find shows across the Bay Area with our weekly concert calendar (posted every Monday on our Instagram), events calendar, and ticket giveaways (so you can save money and join the fun).

2. Discover a new genre

With 100 unique radio shows, you can find almost anything playing on BFF.fm: goth, new wave, ambient, country, chiptune, indie, punk, screamo, psychedelic, hip hop, r&B, jazz, metal…it’s all here. Dig through our digital archives to discover a totally new sound or listen live to see where the webwaves take you.

3. Tune into your community

Despite the wide variety of genres covered in BFF.fm shows, they share one common trait: a focus on local music! Explore our Bay Area-focused programming and dive into our blog for interviews with local artists, local events, and music premieres.

Want a behind-the-scenes look at the local scene? Baydream, West of Twin Peaks, Espresso Sesh, Hot Local Singles, and The Sunday Screeches all host Bay Area artists for convos you can’t find anywhere else.

Explore the history, culture, and people of the Bay Area with programs like Roll Over Easy, San Francisco Retro, Movie Radio, Storied: San Francisco, and A Third Place. Build a deeper connection with your community and learn something new every week!

4. Make a new friend at karaoke

Is there a better way to make friends than belting out your favorite song together? BFF.fm’s legendary karaoke nights at Make Out Room are now twice per month for double the friends, double the memories, and double the fun!

Come hang on the first and third Wednesdays of each month – including this Wednesday, January 7th :)
