Timing, as they say, is everything. Especially in radio, when DJs choose their personal golden hour to create sonic magic for you on the webwaves. Every few months, you might notice some schedule shuffling as we make room for new shows, give current DJs a chance to explore new timeslots, and do everything we can to keep BFF.fm programming fresh, local, and diverse. With a new year, it’s time for a (slightly) new schedule.

New Shows!

100 shows and counting! And it’s all thanks to you, our amazing supporters. Each unique program on our schedule costs approximately $1000 per year in operating expenses, meaning that your donations directly impact our ability to introduce new shows.

This winter, we’ll have a bunch of new programs hitting the webwaves, including:

Banana Split (coming soon - biweekly Sundays from 4-6pm): A mix-and-mash of sounds 🎶🚀 pulling from across eras, cultures, and moods to create something unexpected and fun.

Taste of Chaos (coming soon - biweekly Saturdays 12 - 2pm): Music for the lost, confused, and restless featuring genre deep dives in the realms of punk, post-hardcore, and indie rock.

Local Global (coming soon Thursdays 8-9pm): DJ maDRE makes her triumphant return to the BFF.fm webwaves with fresh new episodes featuring hip-hop from our backyard and around the world.

New Times!

Sundays: Hella Dimensional (now 8 - 10pm): Chesty Gillespie makes your weekend a bit more ✨ magical ✨ with music, talk, interviews, astrology, tarot and more.

Brain Bath is saying goodbye to the webwaves, but lives forever in our hearts.

Mondays:

Cult Hero is taking a break from the webwaves, but you’re not alone on Monday mornings…

Vibe CTRL Radio (now 6 - 7am): Start your week off right with impeccable playlists and interviews from BlckSpkz.

Heartbeats FM (now midnight - 2am): Immersive and rousing dance music to keep you boppin’ all night long. It’s a mood board, a dance floor, and now, your midnight Monday ride-or-die.

The Lorde has taken his last confession on Mondays, but you can still catch him every Saturday 8 - 10am.

Tuesdays:

The Plotting Room (now biweekly Tuesdays 8-10pm): Genre deep-dives, hilarious improv, and even the occasional history lesson collide in this classified listening experience. See behind-the-mic with World War Mairi on our blog!

Wednesdays:

Talk and Noise at Night is ending its run, but stayed tuned for something new to help your midweek blues from 6 - 8pm.

Thursdays:

Vitamin D (now on 5 - 6pm): Grade A beats, NO artificial energy, Excellent source of tunes with DJ wholemilk.

Fridays:

Fervency is going on hiatus, but…

Down to Earth (now Fridays 12 - 2pm): A thoughtfully curated blend of vinyl and digital. new school and old school.

With d2e moving to the afternoons, a new 10am - 12 program is coming soon!

Saturdays:

DIG! (now biweekly 10 - 11am): Dig into the influences and inspirations of artists from the Bay and beyond, plus a heaping pile of cool stuff from Kerri O’Malley.
