SUPERWORLD - Super World (San Jose, math rock/post-hardcore/RIFFS) 
Shouts out to the other dope BFF shows Schock Treatment and Baydream for putting me on to the San Jose group known as SUPERWORLD. It’s like if you took the best parts of melodic emo and post hardcore and threw it together in someone’s basement and let these boys COOK some riffs. Noothgrush - Kashyyyk (Oakland, sludge)
The true definition of an underground gem, Kashyyyk was originally released in late 1995. Each copy was recorded onto a blank cassette, almost never new. Songs were recorded and re-recorded, added and edited like a living thing. Bosse-de-Nage - Hidden Fires Burn Hottest (SF, post-black metal)

Heavy Metal Shrapnel - Heavy Metal Hairspray (San Jose, heavy metal) 
Spearheaded by Andrew Lee of Ripped to Shreds, Heavy Metal Shrapnel is gloriously glam and uncompromisingly hard-hitting. For any other record, I’d warn against being fooled by the gimmick, but in this case, the gimmick is as perfect as the music. - DJ B-rated, The Sunday Screeches
