Reason #637282 to love community radio: connections with the local scene that you won’t find anywhere else.

Rip Florence is a local freak folk, art punk singer-songwriter in the style of Daniel Johnston, Jonathan Richman, Swell Maps, and Beat Happening. He is a collective member at SubRosa community space and was recently announced as an artist-in-residence at Indexical. He is also a very talented friend of BFF.fm’s own Penny Lame.

On Sunday, January 25th, Rip Florence joined The Road to Nowhere to dive into the release of his upcoming project, The Days That Never Came, a compilation of orations from previously unhoused individuals paired with soundscapes from Bay Area musicians.

Listen now for a live in-studio set from Rip, an interview with Penny Lame, and a special setlist of tunes.
