Ahead of her FREE Total Accord Fest show at El Rio on June 4, Caroline Wolfson brought a handful of her favorite CDs to the Brown Recluse Variety Show for a special guest DJ spot. Here are a few of her selections and why she choose them -- tune into the full episode for more!

Mac Miller - The Divine Feminine

"This album got me through high school. I was very sad in high school, and this album is just so magical, sonically and also lyrically. It's all about appreciating and almost worshipping the woman you're with. It's a really cool display of how men can uplift femininity, and I think it's just so beautifully written. It also defined a lot of the way I may music, too -- lyrically and sonically."

Aretha Franklin, "Ain't No Way"

"Any vocalist should listen to Aretha Franklin because she's just perfect, vocally. Listening to her is an amazing experience. Her voice is like no other. I've always listened to her and just been like, 'Uh, I wanna quit.' I mean, not like I wanna quit [laughs] but it inspires me a lot. She's just the greatest ever."

SZA, "Drew Barrymore"

"Her fans call [her lyrics] SZAlations because she just says whatever is on her mind. It's so introspective but also said in a way that's so witty and quickly accessible. You don't have to spend time super-analyzing the lyrics, she just says it how it is but also because her thoughts, I think, are so deep, it comes out very deep as well. But also funny and humorous and witty."
