Today's interview: a talk with Kira Brunner Don and Timothy Don, co-directors of the (first ever!) Oakland Book Festival, coming up on May 31, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Oakland City Hall. We talk about creating the event, how they started planning it while they were still living in Brooklyn, why they moved (in Kira's case, moved back; she grew up in Oakland), and what we can expect from this first Oakland Book Festival and possible future events.
