Hello and welcome to The Infinite Kaleidoscope on BFF.fm! Last week I had the pleasure of chatting with The Breathing Room, a Berkeley-based band that brings together psychedelic soul and dreamy atmospheres in their music. The group is composed of Garrett, Sean, Tori, and Caleb, and they draw inspiration from a diverse range of musical styles, including psychedelia, jazz, classic songwriting, and heartfelt soul.
Recently, they released their debut album, produced by Jason Kick of Oakland-based Mild High Club and Levitation Room. One of the album's standout tracks is 'Left Unspoken,' a groovy single that's accompanied by a vibrant and nostalgic music video shot and directed by the band's drummer, Tori Leonhardt, on Super 8 film.
