EP038: We Revolt the Light

Sometimes the best stories are rooted in the details and history of their characters. It's not just about the final outcome or climax, but also about the journey that leads up to it. Understanding the backstory allows us to fully grasp each individual’s motives, desires and struggles. The keyword "backstory" is essential because it enables you to connect with these tensions on a deeper level and empathize with them. In fact, incorporating backstory can often make an average story exceptional as it adds depth and complexity without sacrificing coherence. At times, we may even find ourselves enjoying a story simply for its richly woven textures created from vivid backstories; an element that sparks our imagination long after reading or hearing them has ended. Not that this whole bit is a good story - the music is what you’re here for, right? - but here’s some rationalization for these self-indulgent segueways.
