I saw Stop Making Sense a couple of times last week. I had never seen it before and I cried tears of joy more than once. Go see it in IMAX if you can. My kiddo only made it 2/3 of the way through, but wanted to hear (and sing) Burning Down The House all the way home.
Starting the show with "Slippery People" which I am not sure that I've heard before. Not the live version anyway. Following that is "Once In A Lifetime" as covered by Angelique Kidjo (who covered the entirety of Remain In Light). Final cover of the first set: Car Seat Headrest & Naked Giants covering Naive Melody.
I totally forgot that Tom Tom Club was essentially a Talking Heads side project with just Tina Weymouth (bass) & Chris Frantz (drums). Oh, and they're married, so maybe both bands are side projects (lol). When they played "Genius of Love" I started thinking about all the songs that sampled/interpolated it. Then I ran out of brain space, because there are too many songs.
