Dr. Una Ryan holds a Ph.D. in Cellular and MolecularBiology from Cambridge University.
She has authored over 500 publications in vascularbiology. Dr. Ryan received the Albert Einstein Award foroutstanding achievement in the life sciences. In 2002 Her Majesty QueenElizabeth II awarded Dr. Ryan the Order of the British Empire (OBE) forservices to biotechnology.
Most recently, she has been managing director ofGolden Seeds, an angel-investing group focused on women-led companies along with pursuing her art career. Thats right, Dr. Una Ryan is also an artist, she has recently released a newseries titled Intimate Terrane: Mapping the Universe Inside Us.
Tonight we explore Una Ryan the person, and how she is able to be both an objective knowledge driven scientist and an artist that recognizes "the spirit and soul".
