Influenced by legendary artists such as Michael Jackson, Donny Hathaway, Brandy and Usher, Cedric has always had an affinity for the art of R&B that’s been woven into the fabric of his music. Ever since he was a kid, he's loved music and the way it makes him feel. Cedric has grown to believe that music is the only thing we can all agree on because it’s the only thing we all universally and innately love. A universal language.

Growing up, his grandparents would keep him around great soul music and his mom would always be playing artists like Aaliyah in the car. He grew up to the music that he loves to make. It became a feeling that connected and resonated with him from a very young age - R&B.  Cedric knew that if it did that for him, it would for other people. Music has that ability and it’s the main reason why he makes music.

Cedric basically wants to be a vessel that is responsible for taking people away from their problems and allowing them into his world, even if just for a moment. As long as people are feeling when they listen to his music, then he's done his job as an artist and performer.
