"pulse for pulse, breath for breath"

I knew that I wanted to build this week's show around two (wildly differing) works from two contemporary horn players - Jeff Scott of the NYC-based Imani Winds and UK-based trombonist Alex Paxton - but I wasn't sure how I was going to thread that needle until late Monday night.
